It's been awhile since I did a Fitness Friday post, mainly because over the last 6 months I haven't felt very inspiring. I am happy to be able to blame the decreased activity on my pregnancy, but after getting over the first trimester nausea, I have been exercising on a regular basis over the last 3 months. I mentioned in a previous post that I am a newly appointed For Two Fitness® Ambassador. I purchased one of their tanks a couple months ago after hearing great things about them. Vacation Workout

Greetings from San Antonio! Just stopping in for a quick visit. Vacation is off to a great start. We went to Fredericksburg, Texas for a few days to visit my in-laws and every time I go there I am reminded at how much I love that town. It's a small town yet there is a lot to do- adorable shops, museums, wineries, etc. Of course I didn't take any pictures of the town but we mostly had fun family time. Dirty Dozen

Oh Friday, I am so happy you are here! I realized I haven't given you an update on my injured foot and I am sure you are all dying to know how it's feeling. Right? Right. So I took a good 2 weeks off from running after I went to the Doctor. I bought new running shoes that are good for high arches, such as mine. I took ibuprofen daily. I waited patiently for the pain to magically disappear. Um yeah, that didn't happen. I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to test it out. What’s In Your Fitness Closet?

Being a stay-at-home mom who exercises on a regular basis allows for me to dress, um shall we say comfortably? The good news is that I always have make-up on and my hair is combed upon leaving the house to take my son to school! Yay me. I'll admit though I put on workout clothes first thing in the morning about 95% percent of the time. When I am really on top of things, I workout, shower and put on regular clothes before leaving but that isn't the norm. Luckily the exercise clothes they make these days are SO cute. I've had a great week of workouts. It's funny what the mind can do when it comes to exercise. I just felt like stepping it up and once Monday rolled around I pushed myself more than I have lately. I got in a nice variety- 2 days of treadmill running, 2 days of Insanity and 1 day of weights. I plan on doing a long outside run on Saturday with a new neighborhood running group. It will be my first run with them and I am hoping I like it because that is probably the only way I will be fitting in long runs in this cold weather. I need the motivation! Greetings from San Diego! I am so happy to be back here visiting. The last time I was here, over 6 years ago, and I was 5 months pregnant with my first child! I loved my time in San Diego. I originally moved with a high school friend because we were looking for a change. I was just finishing my Dietetic Internship in Boston and she was working in San Francisco. The weekend is here! I am super excited because my hubby has been out of town all week and it's always extra exhausting taking care of 3 young children solo. I feel for you single parents out there. I will be handing off the kids first thing Saturday morning when I plan on getting a good long run in and go for a haircut! Thrilled for both actually! I have been doing a lot of quick workouts around here lately. Baby R still takes two naps and I try my best to let him take them at home which means I usually skip the morning gym for a treadmill run or at-home workout. I do miss the good ol' days of kid-free workout sessions, but I'll take what I can get! I have been enjoying this one lately.
