Are eggs dairy free. They told me I wasn’t supposed to eat them.

Hi Carol, eggs are not dairy. Any milk based product is classified as dairy (butter, cream, cheese, yogurt, etc.).

Hi, I thought I would also mention that flax seeds and water are a great substitute for eggs when baking. Whether you run out of eggs, or have an allergy to them place a tsp of flax seeds in a tsp of water and wait a few minutes; it will act like an egg.

Yes, I do that for my son who is 21 months old and has an egg allergy. I haven’t tried it in cookies though, just muffins/quick breads. Thanks for sharing your comment because for those people who might not read my blog posts and catch that tip, they might see it here.
