Valentine’s Day Recipe RoundUp

February 13, 2015 by Melanie 21 Comments

Looking for some inspiration for Valentine’s Day dinner? Check out this Valentine’s Day Recipe Roundup!

VDay

I remember one of the first valentine’s dinner I made for my husband. It was our first Valentine’s Day with a baby (baby #1 would have been 4 months old at that time) so going out to dinner was no longer a priority. I made gnocchi with mini chicken meatballs in a homemade tomato sauce and of course I made salad and something chocolately for dessert….but I felt like such a grown-up cooking fancy dinners at home.

As we contented having kids and it was equally as fun to put them to bed and have a romantic dinner at home without worrying about reservations and babysitters.

This year we are actually spending the day with friends in Seattle so it will be a fun day to celebrate and I will probably skip the fancy dinner since we will have a chance to grab a late lunch out. I’m super excited! But if you are cooking for your loved one, remember anything can be romantic if you make it.

Put on some music, open some wine, take your time to cook, enjoy your company and eat! Here are some recipes to get inspire you.

I can’t remember the last time we went out for Valentine’s Day dinner. Last year Ron and I both took the day off from work and had a date day. It was fun!
