Foodie Holiday Gift Guide

December 4, 2015 by Melanie 14 Comments

Foodie Holiday Gift Guide | Nutritious Eats

We all know how quickly this month flies by and personally I have the best intentions to get shopping done early. Easier said than done due to having 4 kids, a hubby, 3 teachers, parents, mother-in-law and grandparent to buy for.

I would say I am 50% of the way done, which is pretty good I think. Food related gifts are always great for the foodie/chef/baker in the family.

Heres are some ideas if you need some!

4 1/2 Quart Slow Cooker in this lovely Black Damask pattern

I adore my slow cooker, but mine is too big for some things. This is a great size and the pattern is so fun!

CrockPot

Lodge Cast Iron Skillet

This skillet is amazing. It will make your food taste better I swear by it. I have the 12 inch which is a great size for our family. The 10 inch would be nice too. Every cook should have one and they are affordable! Plus they can double as weapons.

CastIron

Silpat baking liners

I love love love these baking liners. You use them in place of parchment paper. So convenient and keeps those baking pans in good condition.

Silpat

iPerfect Tri-Blade Spiralizer

Listen, if you haven’t jumped on the spiralizer bandwagon, you’ve got to do it. This makes it super easy to spiral any fruit or veggie like I did here in my Pork and Apple recipe. I have this one and LOVE it. So worth it.

Spiralizer

Nourish Snacks

I love these snacks. At this time they are online only, but so worth it. Every snack is gluten free and created by a Registered Dietitian. They sell them in sampler packs which makes an amazing gift for the office, a college student or any family really!

Le Creuset Cast Iron Oval Wide Dutch Oven

I received my Le Creuset for Christmas about 8 years ago and it has been worth every penny. It heats well, holds up well and the best part is it cleans up well. Similar products, like the ones you might find at discount stores like Marshalls or TJ Maxx, just aren’t the same.

LeCreuset

Nonstick Donut Pans

Ok I don’t own a donut pan for some crazy reason, but I have been meaning to buy one. You can make healthier baked donuts with all the wonderful recipes created by the awesome food bloggers of the world. 😉

DonutPan

Blendtec blender

I don’t know how I lived without this. I leave it on my counter and make smoothies, soup, sauces, hot drinks, nut butters, etc. It does so much and even cleans itself! Not joking…it has a clean cycle. It’s not cheap, but if you have the money to spend for a reliable, useful appliance, consider this one!

Blendec

BonVita Coffee Maker

If you are looking for a new coffee maker, look no further. We did our research on this one because after years of a leaking coffee pot it was time to find something more reliable. This is currently priced at $50 less that the original. What you get- a simplistic design, foolproof- no leaks ever, no bells and whistles which makes it work so well, plus the coffee is by far the best tasting I have ever had from a home brew. The reason this is so special is the water heater gets the water to a perfect and precise temperature for optimal brewing. That is why you get a cup of coffee that actually tastes like good coffee (assuming you’re buying a decent bean). You will get the very best flavor from grinding the beans yourself, but it isn’t totally necessary.

BonaVita

Krups Coffee and Spice Grinder

Which leads me to this must-have. I use it to grind our coffee which actually takes about 30 seconds. Sometimes I do a few days in advance, but for the best tasting coffee you’re supposed to do it as needed. I also use it to grind spices. It works great!

Krups

Ugg Australia Ansley Slippers

What do these have to do with food? Well if you stand in the kitchen cooking for hours you know how tired your feet can get. These slippers are a dream. I have had them for almost 4 years now and they are perfection. I wear them year round! Adore, can’t say enough!

Ugg

So there you have it, everything on here I actually own and love except for the donut pans! I hope you got some ideas and happy shopping. I’d love to know, what’s on your list?

Fun list!! I broke down and bought a second {smaller 10 “} cast iron pan last year, and love it for eggs, toasting nuts, sauteing veggies and other smaller things, as it’s not so heavy as my 12 inch pan 🙂 I would like a new Cuisinart Food Processor this year-I have had my original one for 16+ years, but the grater blade broke, and I think it’s time for an update! Happy Holidays to you and your family Melanie!
